Little League Ages 6-7, as defined by 2024 Little League Softball Age Chart.

Division A Softball is the first level of our instructional Lower Division Softball program. This level is geared toward teaching sound softball fundamentals. A Softball is coach-pitch. If players are unable to hit the ball when pitched by a coach, they are given the opportunity to hit from a tee. Outs are not recorded, score is not kept, and every child plays on both offense and defense in every inning.

• Teams are formed based on neighborhood elementary school.
• Buddy and manager requests are allowed but are not guaranteed.
  

SCHEDULE OVERVIEW 

The Division A Softball season begins the third week of April. There are no practices or games during SVSD Spring Break. Games begin the first week of May. The season concludes prior to the completion of the SVSD school year (mid-June).

Weeks 1-3 2 practices per week
Week 4-10 1-2 games per week

Little League Ages 7-8, as defined by the 2024 Little League Softball Age Chart.
 
AA Softball is the second level of our instructional Lower Division Softball program. It is designed for players who have had at least one year of A Softball experience. While still focused on developing fundamentals, AA Softball features a more aggressive style of play and prepares players to make the transition from Lower Division softball to Upper Division softball. Games use a modified player-pitch. Outs are recorded and score is kept.

• Teams are formed based on neighborhood elementary school.
• Buddy and manager requests are allowed, but are not guaranteed. 

SEASON SCHEDULE

The AA Softball season begins the first week of March. Games start the first week of April. There are no practices or games during SVSD Spring Break. Coaches may schedule additional practices during game weeks, based on field availability. The season concludes prior to the completion of the SVSD school year (mid-June).
