2025 10U Select Team Tryout

Please read below for 10U Tournament Select Team tryout information! Eligible 10U players have a birth date between Sept 1, 2013 and Aug 31, 2015.

The 10U Select Team begins playing together in the winter in preparation for 4-6 weekend tournaments between May '25 and July '25 We think of this team as a true select team – similar to a club team because we play the best of their age from towns around Massachusetts and New England. The competition and camaraderie on this tourney team are truly unmatched. High levels of competition and high levels of fun! As such, we commit to practice weekly in winter and straight through the summer season.

We are looking to fill some slots on the team this year so we’re holding an open tryout on Saturday, Sep 28th, 2024 at 10AM at Senior Center 60 Nahatan Street. (Rainout date Saturday, Oct 5th at 10AM). We want every interested girl to have a chance to try out, so please let us know if your daughter cannot make the 28th. We will arrange another date or organize a second tryout if needed.

During the tryout, coaches, along with a few independent observers, will be assessing each player's ability with a primary focus on hitting, fielding, catching, and throwing. Beyond these fundamentals, we also observe the contributions that a player makes to a team – enthusiasm, attitude, hustle. Is she on time? Does she have a good attitude? Does she hustle? Is she paying attention? Is she knowledgeable about the game?

We anticipate costs to be less than $500 per player.
