Westwood Youth Softball Select Softball Teams
• Teams are grouped by birth year such as 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U . To determine the appropriate team for your daughter, you can use the USA softball Age Calculator, which helps you figure out her eligibility based on her birth date.
• Select is a league for those players that are 100% committed to softball in the spring and want to play at a higher level.
• Players are expected to be committed to softball in the spring season, meaning they will choose softball over other activities. Outside of family and school commitments. Select players are expected to attend softball practices and games for Select teams. Not living up to this expectation will impact game playing time. Please consider this carefully before committing to the Select program.
• 3 to 5 tournaments during the months of May, June and possibly July
• Tournaments are played on the weekends and some Friday nights.
• Practices begin in the fall-winter
• Depending on registration, there will be tryouts.
