Rec Basketball is about having fun - the players, the parents, and the coaches.  While you are having fun, you are also learning.  We offer a coed basketball clinic for the first and second graders at the Wanaque School gym beginning in January of each year.

 We will occasionally offer a clinic for older children when gym time and coaches are available.

We offer intramural basketball for children in third through eighth grade.  Practice starts in December and games begin in January of each year and typically run through the end of February.  Practices and games are held in various gyms (Haskell School, Wanaque School, and the Wanaque Community  Center (formerly the St. Francis School gym)).  Teams are gender specific but multiple grades are aggregated so we can have multiple teams at each level.  

We hold an All-Star Tournament typically President's Day weekend where Coaches for each grade level vote for their top players to play in an All-Star game. This is an all day event that starts out with all of the Clinic players playing their first game. Each team level plays a game followed by a Free-Throw Contest for any child in that grade group.

Players must wear proper basketball attire and should bring plenty of water to both practices and games.
