General Guidelines

Welcome to all those returning and those that are new to Wallen Spring 2023 Season.

The Executive Board at Wallen would like to update you on some of the guidelines and activities that will be in place for the coming season.

Parking

As you are aware, parking at Wallen a premium is at as everywhere else too. While we continue to make improvements at the park, including additional parking, that takes funds. Wallen is a non-profit organization that relies on sponsors and donations in order to make these improvements possible. Until we are able to raise the necessary funds, we ask for your patience and cooperation. Please read and follow the guidelines below:

  1. Speed limit in the parking lot is 5 mph. Please be aware of pedestrians, especially children who may be running through the parking lot.
  2. There is one entrance to the park, and it is located on Village Drive. Please enter through the gate on the right. The left gate is an exit only.
  3. When you get to the end of the drive, you can either turn left to park or exit or you can turn to the right to head north, toward fields 5-10.
  4. When parking to the north of field 5, there should be room for three rows of parking all going north and south. There will be a row of cars closest to the field, a row of cars against the trees furthest from the field and a row in the middle. All cars should be facing the same direction. The cars closest to the field and closest to the trees need to be sure to pull in as far as possible. This will allow us to maximize the parking space.
  5. When turning toward fields 6-10 this is a one-way loop. Please turn left in the far north lane. Please leave room at the end of this lane for cars to turn left and head back out of the lot.
  6. When exiting the two side lots at the north end of the park, please turn and exit to the north. Never exit by heading south. This is a one-way road.
  7. Do NOT Park in the road just outside the park or on the drive that heads west. Your car could be towed if you park there.
  8. There is additional parking to the north once you have left the park. There is a lot on the left after you have left the gate of the park.
  9. If there is no parking in the areas mentioned above, additional parking is available at the White Swan Shopping Center. A stone pathway has been created between the shopping center and the northeast parking lot at Wallen. Please be considerate of the businesses of White Swan and do not park in front of the businesses so their customers can still easily access the stores.
  10. There is also additional parking available in the township parking lot to the south of Wallen. Be sure to not block access for the fire department.
  11. There is possibility you could park at the school by diamond 4. Please keep in mind, the school authorities could lock their gate at any time.
  12. Please Park in designated parking spaces and avoid blocking walkways.
  13. When parking in the north lots, you are encouraged to back into the parking spaces to make leaving easier and safer.
  14. Do not park in the driving lane on the west end of the lot by the lob/t-ball fields. There must be room for people to turn the corner and drive east to exit the lot.
  15. Parking is also prohibited on Village Drive, the street that leads to Wallen.
  16. Because parking is limited, you are encouraged to carpool when possible.

Wallen wants to warn everyone exiting the park out of the North gate leads to Creamer Road which is no longer a street night.

Which means the following:

Exiting onto Lima and trying to go north on Lima is to enter with caution to the median and exiting the median to the north on Lima Rd.  Exiting south off Creamer Road is proceed with caution.  To avoid long lane of cars waiting to head north on Lima may also entering the White Swan Parking lot and where there is two more exits for Lima Rd heading north or south.

WE want everyone to understand this is not part of Wallen and we ask you politely to respect the community around the exiting of Wallen.

NO Speeding on Creamer RD and or White Swan.

Wallen has concession and restrooms, stands and lighting.

Additional regulations:

  • NO PETS. We realize many people love to bring their pets to the park, however, Wallen does not permit pets of any kind in the park.
  • NO SMOKING. Wallen is a smoke-free facility. Please respect the athletes and other fans by not smoking while in the park.
  • Leave the park cleaner than you found it. At minimum make certain your child picks up any trash they may have created. Help us keep our park clean by picking up any trash you may find that was left behind by others.  Each Night teams are responsible for cleaning their dugout and stands area.
Practice good sportsmanship. No negative outbursts toward players, coaches, umpires, or other fans.

We have attached Weather Guidelines

Thank you everyone
