Sandy Koufax Division Rules
- Distance between bases - 90 feet
Distance from pitcher’s mound to home plate - 60 feet, 6 inches
2. Baseball provided by the Wallen league.
Bat size - Drop 3 maximum for 15-year old’s, no limitation for 13-14-year old’s
Monitoring bat size will proceed as follows:
A- Before the game begins, coaches will provide a list of 15- year old players to the opposing team.
B- All drop 3 bats must be marked with a piece of tape visible to umpire and opposing team.
C- Any 15- year old caught using an illegal bat will be an automatic out for the first violation, and the second violation will result player being
ejected from the game.
3. All players must play at least 6 defensive outs in the first 4 innings within a legal game and must play at least 9 defensive outs in a full game.
4. The game is complete once the last batter completes his time at bat. No inning will start after the game has been in progress for 1 hour and
50 minutes.
For timing purposes, the next inning shall begin immediately once the third out has been recorded in the bottom of the previous inning.
Maximum game length-7 innings
5. Continuous batting order will be used.
6. Pitching limitations - for all ages, 7 innings or 21 outs per calendar week (Sunday through Saturday). 1 out = ⅓ of an inning.
For each game added over the additional 2 games per week, a pitcher is allowed 3 additional innings or 9 outs. May not exceed Max pitch
count for age group

7. Stealing bases is allowed for any base. Leadoffs are allowed.
8. No intentional walks are permitted.
9. The batter may run on a dropped 3rd strike, per MLB rules.
10. Four innings of play, or reaching the time limit, constitutes a legal game.
11. A 15-run mercy rule will apply after 4 complete innings, while a 10-run mercy rule will apply after 5 complete innings.
12. Where Washington Township rules don’t apply, MLB rules will apply.
13. One coach must be in the dugout at all times.
14, Head-first slides are permitted.
15. Rules are subject to change due to any extraordinary situation. Any rule changes will be determined and approved by the Executive Board
