Eric Wedge Wood Bat Division 16 to 22

Eric Wedge Wood Bat DIVISION RULES

 

    

1.     Base distance - 90 feet.

     Pitching distance – 60 feet 6 inches

 

2.     Baseball –baseball provided by the Wallen League

     Bat size – Wood Bat only.   No Composite allowed.

                     

     Game length - 7 innings (maximum)

 

3.     All players must play at least 6 defensive outs in the first 4 innings within a legal game       and 9 defensive outs in a full game.

 

4.     Time limit - The game is complete as the last batter completes his time at bat.       No inning shall begin after 1 hour 50 minutes. 

 

For timing purposes, the next inning shall begin immediately once the third out has been recorded in the bottom of the previous inning.

 

5.     Continuous batting order shall be used. 

6.     Pitching limitations – Please follow Smart Pitching Guidelines for Wallen Complex

7.     Stealing - All bases allowed - Lead offs allowed. 

8.     Dropped 3rd strike - Batter may run on a dropped 3rd strike, per NFHS.

9.   Four innings or time limit constitutes a legal game. 

10.   A 15-run mercy rule shall apply after four complete innings and 10-runs after five complete innings. 

11.   Where Washington Township rules do not apply, NFHS rules will apply.  

12.   One coach must be in the dugout at all times. 

13.   No more than 2 coaches allowed on field during teams At bat.  (edge of dugout but with in is okay)

14.   No defensive coach is allowed on any part of the field.  Unless time is allowed by umpires.

15.   Head first slides are allowed.

16.  NO Steal cleats on allowed on mound during pitching.

17.  If division team is limited on players before a game,  players from other teams not currently play vs other team may be used.
       They may not be allowed to pitch,  and must be end of line up for batting.   The players that are own current roster must bat above them.

Breakdown if they pitch and the above # of pitches occur, this is layout for all coaches to follow when the pitcher pitch again.
Examples Can Pitch again 24 hours is consider one rest period
