Local Playing Rules | Culpeper Little League
Local Playing Rules
Culpeper Little League follows the official Little League Rulebook with local modifications that help us ensure fairness, fun, and safety for all divisions.
Continuous Batting Order
Optional in Majors and above. If used, both managers must agree before the game begins.
Pitch Count & Tracking
Pitch counts must be tracked by both teams. Pitcher logs must be signed by both managers and the umpire after each game.
Division-Specific Rules
Each division (T-Ball, Machine Pitch, Minor, Major, Senior, Challenger) has guidelines for inning structure, defensive play, and time limits.
Code of Conduct
All players, coaches, and spectators are expected to model good sportsmanship and respect. Violations may result in ejection or suspension.
Player Pool Usage
If a team is short players, subs may be used from a league-approved pool. No player may pitch or catch in a borrowed role.
Game Duration & Run Limits
Most divisions enforce a 5-run limit per inning and strict time limits to ensure games run smoothly and fairly.
