Minors Machine Pitch Baseball
League Ages 7-8
League Age 6 may only play with an assessment from the Player Agent and Coach Coordinator.
Continues the skill building that starts in T-Ball. This division works off a pitching machine with the coaches assistance. Players will continue to develop individual hitting, throwing and catching mechanics in a safe and fun environment. In addition, they’ll start to learn more rules of the game, with more focus on base running and team fielding techniques.
• TEAMS: We form teams of 12-14 players per team. Teams are created after registrations have closed and enough coaches available. (If you are places on a waitlist, there is no guarantee you will be placed on a team until a coach volunteer has signed up.)
• EQUIPMENT AND UNIFORM: Team uniform of hat, jersey, and pants are provided by SLL. Each team is issued catcher's gear, bats and helmets. Players may use their Little League approved USA Baseball bat or any legal baseball gear they choose. Glove and cleats are required for all players.
• PRACTICES: Starting as soon as the snow thaws, end of April beginning of May. Coaches preference on how often to practice. Teams will usually have 2 practices per week until the season begins, then 2 game and 1 practice each week. Practices and games typically last 2 hours total with pre-game warm ups. Practices can be included during game nights.
• GAMES: 2 games each week. Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. Games are 1 hr and 45 min in length and played on Fields 4 & 5 at the Soldotna Little League Park.
• VOLUNTEERS: Parent participation is required on many levels from Coaching, Field Preparation, Team Parent, and parents to stand at all positions to guide tee ballers in the right direction, etc.
• MANAGER and COACH: Two coaches and one manager may request to be paired together prior to team formation. While attempts are made to honor requests, they are not always guaranteed.
"Only those participants whose residence or the physical location of the school where they attend classes is within the boundaries of the league shall be eligible to participate."
Note: You will only be able to register your player/s for the program they are age-eligible for. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Player Agent. SLL reserves the right to move players from one level to another for safety reasons as well as to accommodate the most players depending on interest at each level. This is done at the Coach and Player Agents discretion.
